Make Room For What Matters

How often do you clean your room? Or your car? How about your workspace? Kitchen? Bathroom? Desktop screen?

Every year, it gets harder to write these retrospectives. If you’re like me, 2021 has felt like a sequel to 2020. And the years prior weren’t much to write about. I realized that this pattern of pessimism and disillusionment had to be broken if I would ever see any worthwhile changes. So a few months ago, I wrote out my 5-year plan. I started reading books on self-development, growing my skill set, and attempting to set healthier habits. It’s all still a work in progress, but the work is being done and that’s all I can ask for right now.

Instead of wallowing in the mess of my struggles, I needed to get to the root of why I’m prone to stagnation.
